Opening of the retail park in Vaslui: 31st May

On May 31, the tenants of a new retail park in Vaslui, developed by the Polish company Scallier, opened the doors to customers. The new property with an area of over 10,000 sq m. (GLA) is the fifth retail park developed by the company in Romania, which plans further investments in this country. The next Scallier's retail park will be opened in autumn. Together with the new retail park in Vaslui, the total volume of modern retail space delivered by Scallier on the Romanian market significantly exceeds 40,000 sq m. Among the tenants of the new park are: Sinsay, New Yorker, Hervis, DM, Pepco, TEDi, Sportissimo, ZOO Center, KiK, Carturesti bookstore, and a large local restaurant - Pizzeria Rimini, and at the end of 2023, the FryDay restaurant will open.

“Vaslui is a city located in Eastern Romania with a population of over 50,000. Romania is developing rapidly, and as consumers' incomes increase, so do their purchasing requirements, which tenants follow with their offers. In the case of many Romanian urban centers, the supply of modern space of adequate quality that meets the requirements of both international companies and local entrepreneurs is still a problem. The park in Vaslui is the fifth facility that we have opened over the last several months and we are seeing a lot of interest in renting modern space in all our locations” - says Wojciech Jurga, Managing Partner at Scallier responsible for the company's development on the Romanian market. “So far, we have built, commercialized, and opened retail parks in Rosiorii de Vede, Focsani, Timisoara and Turda. After the retail park in Vaslui, it will be time for the opening of the facility in Mosnita, which is planned for autumn this year. We have already secured further locations and the construction of other facilities will soon start” - emphasizes Wojciech Jurga.

“The retail park in Vaslui was built in the immediate vicinity of the Kaufland store. The jointly created commercial location will develop the city's commercial space market for many years and will be a traditional commercial location for its residents and residents of the surrounding towns, where they will purchase both the necessities and goods related to home furnishings or the fashion industry. An inseparable part of Romanian retail parks is also the gastronomic element, hence the new facility will include, among others, Pizzeria Rimini and FryDay restaurants” - says Ana Tudor, Leasing Director responsible for the commercialization of retail parks developed by Scallier in Romania. “The rightness of the concept adopted by us, both in terms of tenant selection and location, underlines the great success of our retail parks. Commercialized facilities long before opening gain the trust of local communities, which find the necessary offer in their area, which has been missing in their immediate vicinity until now” - emphasizes Ana Tudor.

“Our next retail park, after Vaslui, to be opened in Romania is being built in the city of Mosnita. It is also a very good example of how we approach the implementation of our properties. In the park in Mosnita, we decided to introduce a unique offer for entrepreneurs from the region, which is conducive to the development of local business and enables local entrepreneurs to appear right next to the offer of international retail chains. This makes it much easier for building their awareness among consumers and to attract a much larger group of customers” - sums up Wojciech Jurga.
